Accountant – Australian Taxation (Remote – Philippines)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Accountant based in the Philippines to provide Australian taxation expertise for our financial services team. You will work remotely, handling tax compliance, financial reporting, and client liaison while using modern ERP platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Australian GST, income tax, and payroll tax regulations; prepare and file BAS, IAS, and payroll tax returns.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements, offering insights for performance improvement.
• Manage financial data using ERP systems such as Jobpac, Xero, or similar tools, streamlining processes and generating client reports.
• Interact with clients to gather financial information, answer queries, and provide expert advice.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and growth areas.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and compliance checks.
• Stay updated on changes to Australian tax laws and attend relevant training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on Australian tax laws.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent communication and client‑service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and adopt a growth mindset.
