Tax Specialist – Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services

About the role

As an Experienced Associate in Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services, you will support tax accounting engagements for a global client base. You will develop core technical tax knowledge while working in a dynamic, hybrid environment at our McKinley West office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations under senior guidance.
• Assist in quarterly and annual tax provision management for US GAAP and IFRS reporting.
• Prepare return‑to‑provision adjustments, true‑up deferred taxes and explain results to clients.
• Calculate deferred taxes using the Tax Basis Balance Sheet approach.
• Develop cash tax forecasts by jurisdiction and deliver monthly/quarterly reports.
• Collect supporting documents and reconcile balance‑sheet tax accounts.
• Prepare journal entry packages, return‑to‑provision entries and obtain client approvals.
• Support specific transactions such as spin‑offs, M&A, APB 23 and BEPS implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1–8+ years of relevant tax accounting experience.
• Strong accounting and tax technical background with knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including dynamic tables and intermediate‑advanced formulas.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a hybrid office setting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
