Senior Designer, Roads

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Designer to join its Transport – Roads team. You will translate engineering concepts into detailed, constructible road designs that support sustainable transport infrastructure across international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed road and civil design models using 12d Model and produce construction‑ready drawings.
• Interpret design standards, Austroads guidelines and state supplements to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters and multidisciplinary teams to guarantee accuracy and constructability.
• Support digital design processes, participate in design reviews and apply Aurecon quality protocols throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 7‑10+ years of road design experience, preferably in Australia.
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and deliver high‑quality design outputs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12d Model software.
• Strong knowledge of Austroads Design Guidelines and related state supplements.
