Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Avon Philippines is seeking a solutions‑oriented Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice, risk management and strategic guidance to its management team. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations while protecting the company’s interests and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as legal advisor to Avon and affiliated entities, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Manage corporate governance matters, including board resolutions and regulatory filings.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts across multiple business functions.
• Support litigation and dispute resolution, coordinating with external legal partners.
• Drive compliance in competition law, data privacy and industry regulations.
• Provide legal support to Supply Chain, Marketing, Procurement and Retail functions.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks across projects, programs and agreements.
• Manage labor and employment matters, including union relations and agreements.
• Deliver legal and compliance training to increase awareness across the business.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of experience in corporate, commercial, compliance or labor law.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, data privacy, competition law and contract management.
• Practical, business‑oriented approach with the ability to balance legal and commercial needs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• High level of ownership, sound judgment and ethical decision‑making.
• Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies such as SEC, DOLE, BIR, NPC, PCC is an advantage.
