Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) Officer

About the role

The EHSS Officer will develop, implement and monitor programs that ensure compliance with Philippine environmental, occupational health, safety and security regulations. This position protects employees, contractors, assets and surrounding communities while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DENR, DOLE and other local EHSS laws; prepare and submit required regulatory reports.
• Monitor environmental performance (air, water, waste, noise) and oversee waste management and pollution control.
• Implement occupational health and safety programs, conduct risk assessments (HIRA/JHA) and lead incident investigations.
• Develop and maintain site security protocols, coordinate with security agencies and conduct threat assessments.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, support internal and external audits, and manage EHSS documentation.
• Deliver safety orientations, drills, trainings and awareness campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 2–5 years of EHSS experience, preferably in energy, construction or industrial sectors.
• Site‑based work with possible travel to project sites.

Required skills

• Risk assessment and incident investigation.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Familiarity with Philippine EHSS regulations (DENR, DOLE).
• Safety Officer (SO2/SO3) and Pollution Control Officer (PCO) certifications (preferred).
