ESG Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

The ESG Manager will lead the implementation of Vena Group’s ESG policy across its renewable energy portfolio in the Philippines. Reporting to the Business Development‑Project Development team, the role provides strategic advice to senior leadership and works closely with Engineering, Construction, Land Acquisition, HR, O&M, and Legal functions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and oversee the Group’s ESG framework and roadmap for all Philippine projects.
• Integrate ESG considerations into project development, construction, and operations, ensuring alignment with IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Promote ESG awareness and accountability across project teams and contractors.
• Coordinate ESIAs, stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, and social safeguards with internal teams and external consultants.
• Monitor ESG‑related risks and support mitigation to protect permitting, financing and project viability.
• Establish project‑level ESG policies, KPIs and reporting systems; lead disclosures to investors, lenders, regulators and rating agencies.
• Benchmark performance against global standards and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Science, Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ESG, environmental & social management or sustainability, preferably in renewable energy.
• Hands‑on experience applying IFC Performance Standards and/or Equator Principles.
• Formal training on ESG standards (IFC, Equator Principles, ISO 14001/ISO 45001) and stakeholder engagement.
