Accountant – Purchase to Pay (P2P)

About the role

The P2P Accountant at Surbana Jurong is responsible for processing and reviewing a range of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery. The role supports the finance shared services function and works closely with internal stakeholders to maintain high standards of accounting practice.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate transactions in the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with controls and accounting policies.
• Investigate and resolve transactional issues in coordination with supervisors and colleagues.
• Prepare journal entries for adjustments or corrections.
• Analyse reconciliations of complex accounts and advise senior accountants of any issues.
• Create and amend vendor accounts and maintain vendor master data.
• Assist with audits by providing supporting records and documentation.
• Perform preliminary checks and data entry for payment runs, and review data entered by senior associates.
• Communicate with stakeholders on purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims, ensuring completeness of supporting documents.
• Suggest and drive process‑improvement initiatives and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in purchase order processing, vendor invoice processing, intercompany invoicing, vendor maintenance, account reconciliations, or payment processing.
• Experience in a Finance Shared Services or BPO environment is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or MBA are an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural environment.
