US Tax Manager

About the role

TOA Global is seeking a seasoned US Tax Manager to lead its North American tax operations from the Philippines. This senior role combines technical tax expertise with team leadership, client relationship management, and process optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end tax preparation and compliance for individuals, S‑Corporations, and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and adherence to federal and state regulations.
• Provide final technical review of all US tax returns before filing.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, ensuring high‑quality output and meeting strict US tax deadlines.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with US‑based clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities, resolve complex tax issues, and stay current with changes in tax law.
• Utilize and optimize modern tax and accounting software such as ProConnect, Canopy, QuickBooks, Xero, and Gusto.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive US tax experience, including individual and S‑Corp returns.
• At least 5 years of proven team management experience in a public accounting or SME environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a process‑oriented leadership style.
• Deep understanding of nexus and state‑specific tax filing requirements.
