Senior/Staff Backend Software Engineer – Embedded Platforms

About the role

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior or Staff Backend Software Engineer to design and build the backend services that power its intelligent, connected embedded platforms. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, delivering scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions that enable cloud‑to‑edge integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for embedded and connected systems.
• Define and lead the backend architecture, aligning with product requirements and long‑term platform strategy.
• Collaborate with embedded software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to define interfaces and ensure seamless integration.
• Implement cloud and edge services for device provisioning, telemetry, data processing, and remote management.
• Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Extensive experience in backend development with Python, Go, Java or C++.
• Proven track record designing distributed systems and micro‑services architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
