Senior Systems Administrator & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior systems administrator and cloud infrastructure engineer to design, build and manage our cloud environments, primarily on Amazon Web Services, while also supporting Azure and Google Cloud platforms. The role involves hands‑on implementation, automation and optimisation of cloud resources to meet global business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, EKS) and related SQL databases.
• Assist in building and maintaining hybrid/multi‑cloud environments using Azure (VMs, Azure SQL, AKS, Storage) and GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, GKE, Cloud Storage).
• Manage, optimise and troubleshoot cloud‑hosted SQL databases across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Implement cloud security best practices and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps, development and other teams to integrate cloud and database solutions.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2 and related frameworks.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation and share knowledge through training sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) required.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible or shifting hours to support global operations.

Required skills

• SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cloud SQL).
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK.
• Scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Cloud security, cost optimisation and compliance knowledge.
