About the role
The Senior Payroll Partner will lead the accurate and timely delivery of payroll for the ANZ region, primarily Australia, while supporting other ANZ locations as a backup. This role sits within Aurecon's global shared services team and contributes directly to the company's worldwide operations.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure payroll deadlines are met for fortnightly, monthly and off‑cycle runs.
- Prepare and validate payroll and HR data, maintaining high data integrity.
- Deliver employee pay and benefits in line with internal and external requirements.
- Support year‑end payroll activities and annual processes such as remuneration reviews and bonus payments.
- Provide advisory support to the Concierge Team and resolve complex payroll inquiries.
- Assist the People Process Management Team with payroll queries and corrective actions.
- Design and implement enhancements to payroll templates and ensure compliance.
Required profile
- Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility and adaptability.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Ability to shape and evolve the role within a new team.
Required skills
- Extensive experience with ANZ payroll processing, especially Australia.
- In‑depth knowledge of tax and social‑contribution compliance for ANZ.
- Proficiency in Excel for payroll data handling.
- Familiarity with Workday (desirable).
- Experience with Service Management systems or tools (desirable).
