Senior Accountant – Digital Marketing (Contractor)

About the role

Fostr is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the full accounting and bookkeeping portfolio for its Digital Marketing clients. This remote contractor position works on U.S. East Coast business hours and focuses on month‑end close, revenue reconciliation, and GAAP compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily bank feed in QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate categorisation.
• Reconcile revenue from Ringba, Call Grid, and Everflow to QBO, identifying discrepancies.
• Own the month‑end closing process, including bank, credit‑card and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain supporting work papers in line with GAAP/accrual policies.
• Produce three complete financial statements within the first 15 business days of each month.
• Supervise A/P, A/R, and payroll procedures, ensuring quality controls.
• Manage 1099 processing and keep audit‑ready records for all clients.
• Assist with special projects such as system implementations, clean‑ups, and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting experience with strong month‑end close ownership.
• Experience working directly with North‑American clients.
• Deep understanding of accrual‑based accounting, revenue recognition and GAAP.
• Ability to work U.S. East Coast business hours and excellent English communication.
