Search and Rescue Responder Transport Officer II

About the role

The Search and Rescue Responder Transport Officer II supports rapid SAR activations, conducting ground searches, rescues, and medical aid in challenging environments. You will work closely with the Incident Command System to ensure victims are located, treated, and transported safely.

Key responsibilities

• Respond quickly to SAR deployments as directed by the Incident Command System.
• Conduct systematic ground searches using established patterns, navigation tools, and search techniques.
• Perform rescue operations in mountains, forests, rivers, collapsed structures, and urban settings.
• Provide basic first aid, CPR, and emergency medical care to victims.
• Operate rescue tools, radios, GPS devices, and drones during missions.
• Maintain personal and team equipment readiness, including vehicle and gear maintenance.
• Document field activities, complete mission reports, and follow operational protocols.
• Participate in training, mock rescues, and readiness exercises.
• Support logistical tasks such as setting up base camps, transporting victims, and managing supplies.

Required profile

• Good physical condition capable of hiking, carrying equipment, and working in rugged terrain and adverse weather.
• Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
• Completion of basic SAR training and related courses.
• TESDA NCIII driving license (restriction A to D) or equivalent.
