Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking will be responsible for acquiring new corporate clients and expanding an existing portfolio. The role combines account strategy, business development, and product planning to meet profitability targets while delivering high‑level service to corporate customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies to maximize relationship returns.
• Identify and solicit credit‑worthy accounts, ensuring optimal market coverage.
• Create customized product plans in coordination with bank partners based on client needs and competition.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior decision‑makers (CEOs, COOs, CFOs) and promote cross‑selling across the bank’s service suite.
• Deliver mandated profitability metrics, cross‑sell ratios, and expand market share for assets and liabilities.
• Prepare and evaluate credit proposals and line renewals, maintaining portfolio quality.
• Monitor client financial positions, ensure compliance with documentation and covenant requirements, and support collections and loan restructuring when needed.
• Mentor Account Specialists on proper account administration and relationship management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any business discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in corporate banking.
• Working knowledge of credit analysis, bank products/services, banking regulations, and related legal documentation.
• Preferably fluent in Chinese.
