Relationship Manager – Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Business Banking will generate new commercial loans, grow and maintain an existing loan portfolio, and cross‑sell the bank’s products and services. The role focuses on delivering professional account management while preserving asset quality and meeting profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct credit evaluations, including client calls and site inspections, and recommend credit facilities based on business, financial capacity, management competence, collateral and profitability.
• Identify and target credit‑worthy accounts, market bank products, and tailor financial packages to client needs.
• Develop the existing portfolio through annual reviews of credit facilities and adjust them to current requirements.
• Expand relationships with prime accounts by increasing deposits, collateral business, and loan availments.
• Monitor and improve loan portfolio quality to maximize return on resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting or Commerce; MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
• At least two years of banking experience or five years in a related industry.
• Working knowledge of international and local trade payments, bank policies, account profitability analysis, financial analysis and credit approval preparation.
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong marketing, presentation, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
