Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Specialist

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support Surbana Jurong’s projects in Pasig City by delivering accurate cost estimates, managing contracts and monitoring project finances. You will work closely with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Study project drawings and specifications to calculate material, labour and other construction costs.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, budget proposals and feasibility studies for clients.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and evaluate contractor tenders, negotiating contract terms.
• Track project costs against budgets, identify overruns and propose mitigation strategies.
• Manage contractual variations, claims and ensure proper documentation.
• Produce comprehensive cost reports for clients, project managers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cost estimation and BOQ preparation.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex construction drawings.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, legal frameworks and project management principles.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
