Plant Technician – Wind Energy

About the role

As a Plant Technician you will support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of wind turbine generators and balance‑of‑plant systems at a wind farm in Libmanan, Camarines Sur. You will work closely with the Plant Engineer and Plant Supervisor, assisting contractors and contributing to the transformation of energy for a better world.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines, substations and balance‑of‑plant equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic inspections in line with OEM and company standards.
• Support troubleshooting of turbine faults, including shadowing OEM contractors.
• Assist with blade inspections, oil changes, borescope checks and component replacements.
• Accompany contractors for large corrective works and specialized interventions, ensuring compliance with safety, LOTO and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Document and report contractor activities, maintain service logs and fault reports.
• Support root‑cause analysis and provide technical feedback to improve O&M strategies.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
• Good communication for coordinating with contractors and reporting to supervisors.
• Physically fit to climb turbines, work at heights and in confined spaces; no fear of heights.
• Team player with a safety‑first mindset.
• Willingness to work in remote wind‑farm locations under shifting schedules.
• Valid driver’s license is a plus.
• Open to continuous training and certifications (EHS, HV switching, rescue).
