About the role
The Payroll Specialist will manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments in line with local legislation. This role also provides generalist HR support within the Global Shared Services HR team, covering compensation, benefits, and HR business partnering.
Key responsibilities
- Process complete payroll cycles, including complex transactions, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Validate timesheets, coordinate approvals, and manage new‑starter payroll setup.
- Calculate and apply correct tax withholdings, social security contributions, overtime, and allowances.
- Maintain payroll records, generate payslips, and handle end‑of‑pay functions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance reports and statutory filings.
- Respond to employee inquiries on payroll and benefits.
- Produce management and HRMIS reports as required.
- Support continuous improvement of payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and system security.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax regulations, and statutory obligations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Analytical mindset with problem‑solving and testing capabilities.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with HR, line managers, and employees.
Required skills
- Proficiency with payroll software.
- Experience using HRMIS reporting tools.
