About the role

Microchip Technology is seeking an Operator 1 to support production operations within its manufacturing environment. The role focuses on implementing environmental, quality, and electro‑static discharge standards while ensuring smooth lot flow and equipment handling.

Key responsibilities

• Support and implement the Environmental Management System (EMS), Quality Management System (QMS) and Electro‑Static Discharge (ESD) procedures.
• Verify documentation before endorsement and confirm that work instructions are clearly executed.
• Expedite movement of lots from cage operation to line set‑up and monitor production downtime related to “waiting set‑up”.
• Provide required materials and hardware (load board, probe card) as identified by the scheduler/e‑board.
• Handle equipment such as trolleys and pushcarts safely during lot transport.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards at the “Next lot Rack” and ensure proper lot placement.
• Report emergencies, absences, vacation or sick leave to the immediate supervisor and escalate any line problems.
