Local SEO and GEO Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a technically sharp, results‑oriented Local SEO & GEO Specialist to own search visibility strategy for a portfolio of home‑service contractor clients. This remote position blends strategic planning with hands‑on execution, focusing on both traditional local search and emerging AI‑driven search surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement local SEO strategies to improve Google Map Pack rankings, organic visibility, and lead generation across multiple markets.
• Audit and optimize client presence on AI‑driven platforms such as Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.
• Conduct comprehensive keyword research using SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Surfer SEO, mapping keywords to service pages, blogs, and GBP categories.
• Manage Google Business Profile listings, including categories, services, photos, Q&A, and post scheduling.
• Configure and interpret Local Falcon grid scans to identify ranking gaps and prioritize actions.
• Perform on‑page and technical SEO audits, addressing page speed, crawlability, schema markup, and internal linking.
• Create location‑specific content, service pages, FAQs, and blog posts aligned with keyword intent and AI search trends.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience optimizing local SEO for home‑service trades (roofing, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, restoration).
• Proven ability to connect SEO activities to measurable lead outcomes and client reporting.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven search surfaces and generative engine optimization.
• Strong analytical mindset and data‑backed decision making.
