Junior Lawyer

About the role

Asian Marine Transport Corporation (AMTC) is seeking a Junior Lawyer to join its legal team in Cebu. The role supports the company’s maritime and logistics operations by providing legal expertise across corporate, labor and maritime matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts related to cargo transportation, roll‑on/roll‑off services and other commercial agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide advice to ensure compliance with Philippine regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain and organize case files, legal documents and company policies.
• Assist in the implementation of internal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
• Represent AMTC in legal proceedings and liaise with external counsel when required.
• Handle employee‑related legal matters, including disciplinary actions and issuance of show‑cause memos.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and a valid license to practice law in the Philippines.
• Strong analytical, research and contract‑drafting abilities.
• Good understanding of corporate, labor and maritime law.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
