Head of Financial Controls & Accounting Operations

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail‑oriented leader to head our financial controls and accounting operations. This senior position will act as the critical bridge between Operations, Accounting, Finance, Purchasing, and the CEO, ensuring rigorous financial discipline across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Screen, verify, and validate all operational financial movements before they reach executive approval.
• Review and approve payables, expenses, reimbursements, and liquidations, ensuring complete documentation and justification.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, maintain audit‑ready records, and monitor cash flow accuracy.
• Enforce purchase order procedures, validate supplier quotations, and control inventory movements.
• Identify and challenge unnecessary or suspicious spending, preventing operational leakages.
• Collaborate with accounting staff on reporting, compliance, and workflow improvements.
