General Accounting Manager

About the role

The General Accounting Manager leads the General Accounting Section, overseeing a team of Accounting Officers and Associates. This role ensures the integrity of the general ledger, sub‑ledger balances, and the timely completion of period‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the accounting team to meet performance and operational excellence goals.
• Maintain accurate GL and sub‑ledger account balances and ensure completeness of major balance‑sheet and income‑statement schedules.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Supervise fixed‑asset accounting, financial reporting, and budget variance analysis.
• Provide audit support, conduct tax‑related reviews, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the accounting function.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferred.
• Strong technical accounting background with at least five years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all organizational levels.
• Experience with Oracle financial applications is preferred.
