Food Assistant (Kitchen) – Part-Time

About the role

The Food Assistant (Kitchen) supports the Kitchen Production Manager in creating an inviting food experience for IKEA store visitors. Working part‑time on‑site, you help attract guests, encourage longer stays, and deliver tasty food offers that keep customers returning.

Key responsibilities

• Engage visitors with friendly service and promote IKEA food concepts.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure food presentation meets brand standards.
• Support sales by knowing top‑selling items, assisting with range changes, and preparing the kitchen area for daily operations.
• Contribute to the department’s action plan and in‑store activities, providing input on competition, pricing, and product range.
• Follow internal policies, operational routines, and Functional Commercial Review standards.

Required profile

• Sales‑driven and passionate about food and people.
• Experience in food management or the food industry, with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Service‑oriented, flexible, and open to change.
• Confident in approaching customers and communicating in a friendly manner.
• Initiative, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
