About the role
The Fleet Coordinator oversees the daily operation of the company's vehicle fleet, ensuring that each vehicle is well‑maintained and ready for use. This role works closely with management to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and support smooth transport operations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing, inspections, mileage, and purchase information.
- Schedule regular maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure strict adherence to service timelines.
- Handle billing and payment processes related to truck repairs.
- Work with insurance companies to file claims and report accidents or incidents.
- Keep an up‑to‑date inventory of all fleet vehicles, including make, model, purchase date, and outstanding repairs.
Required profile
- Understanding of vehicle repair and maintenance processes, especially for trucks.
- Experience with record‑keeping and fleet inventory management.
- Ability to schedule maintenance efficiently and coordinate with external service providers.
- Familiarity with insurance claim procedures for vehicle damage.
