Drainage Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Drainage Engineer to design and analyse surface water and storm drainage systems for DPWH roads, highways, flood‑control projects and private developments. The role combines technical design, field inspections and coordination with government agencies and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse drainage systems using InfoDrainage, HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS.
• Prepare drainage layouts, profiles, cross‑sections and construction details in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Utilise GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) to assess catchments, flood extents and topography.
• Apply climate‑resilient and flood‑mitigation practices for typhoon‑prone areas.
• Produce technical reports, drawings and specifications for DPWH and private client approvals.
• Coordinate with DPWH District/Regional Offices, LGUs and other regulatory bodies.
• Support environmental compliance (ECC, EIA/IEE inputs).
• Review contractor shop drawings and provide on‑site technical support.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve construction issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• PRC‑licensed Civil Engineer (required).
• 4–7 years of experience in drainage, flood control or civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience on DPWH‑funded projects and private developments.

Required skills

• InfoDrainage for stormwater and drainage design.
• HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS.
• GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
