Cybersecurity Specialist – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

MicroSourcing is looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join its remote team in the Philippines. You will help protect the company’s digital assets by monitoring threats, conducting assessments, and supporting incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and networks to detect, analyze, and respond to threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with penetration testing.
• Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and apply remediation.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve overall security posture and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or SOC roles.
• Strong understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and security monitoring.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS controls).
• Relevant certifications (Security+, CEH, CISSP) – preferred.
• Incident response and threat‑hunting capabilities.
• Familiarity with cloud security services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and SOC environments.
