Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel – FinTech

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel to join our FinTech lending business in Bonifacio Global City. The role will serve as the cornerstone of our regulatory and legal operations, ensuring strict adherence to Philippine financial authorities while supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update internal compliance policies aligned with BSP, AMLC, SEC and NPC regulations.
• Act as primary legal advisor, drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, loan agreements and privacy policies.
• Lead AML and KYC frameworks, conduct CDD/EDD, monitor suspicious activities and submit regulatory reports (STR/CTR).
• Manage litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution to mitigate risk.
• Serve as the main liaison for regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries, and implement updates to laws and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance or Compliance; Philippine Bar Passer preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in the Philippines, with at least 2 years in FinTech or lending compliance.
• Strong analytical mindset with focus on risk mitigation.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Philippine financial regulations (BSP Circulars, AMLC Rules, NPC Data Privacy Act).
• Hands‑on experience with AML/KYC procedures and risk assessment methodologies.
• Legal drafting and contract management expertise.
