About the role

Sur​bana Jurong is seeking a bilingual professional to provide Chinese‑English technical interpretation for hydropower and dam projects. The role supports engineering teams by translating project documentation, drawings and specifications accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical documents, engineering drawings and specifications from Mandarin to English and vice‑versa.
• Assist project teams in understanding and applying engineering project documentation standards.
• Facilitate clear communication between Chinese‑speaking stakeholders and English‑speaking engineers.
• Ensure translation quality aligns with project requirements and timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Hydropower or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in hydropower or dam projects.
• At least 2 years experience in technical interpretation (Chinese–English).
• Professional fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Mandarin (professional fluency).

• Familiarity with engineering project documentation standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
