Buyer III – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer III is responsible for sourcing, analysing and negotiating a wide range of goods and services, from food and beverage to technical and IT items. Working independently, the incumbent develops procurement strategies, conducts price analyses and collaborates with logistics to ensure timely delivery while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify suppliers from both traditional and unconventional sources.
• Develop and execute procurement and negotiation strategies based on market variables.
• Perform moderately complex price analyses and obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate terms, pricing and delivery schedules, coordinating with logistics for transportation and storage planning.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure consistent quality, service and cost control.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior buyers (Buyer I, Buyer II).
• Travel to trade shows, supplier audits, ship loadings and other relevant sites as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or specialized technical purchasing experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing and presentation abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
