Bookkeeper / Accountant (Remote, Full-time)

About the role

AbroadWorks Inc. is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to provide comprehensive financial support to its diverse client base. This full‑time remote position works on Eastern Standard Time, offering the flexibility to work from home while handling a range of accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Track expenses, budgets, cash flow, receipts, payroll and tax obligations for multiple clients.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and year‑end reconciliations.
• Prepare and file tax documents in accordance with US GAAP.
• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to generate reports and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an accountant or bookkeeper.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent logical reasoning and problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Own a reliable desktop or laptop and stable internet connection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation and tax preparation.
• Familiarity with additional accounting software is a plus.
