Bank Teller (Customer Sales & Service Associate)

About the role

The Customer Sales and Service Associate (CSSA) works at the branch to process both financial and non‑financial transactions for customers. The role involves handling cash, deposits, withdrawals, payments, fund transfers, account opening, and providing auxiliary banking services while also promoting bank products.

Key responsibilities

• Process over‑the‑counter transactions such as cash/check deposits, withdrawals, bill payments and miscellaneous transactions.
• Handle auxiliary services including foreign exchange, manager’s checks, demand drafts, remittances, debit card requests, and bank certifications.
• Maintain cash supply within prescribed limits, perform end‑of‑day balancing, and safeguard accountable forms.
• Open new accounts, conduct KYC, ensure documentation is complete, scanned and filed.
• Update customer contact information and amend bank records as needed.
• Secure approvals for transactions exceeding authority limits and conduct enhanced due diligence when required.
• Perform custodial duties, prepare outgoing mail, process branch expenses, and keep the workstation and premises orderly.
• Adhere to security, safety and health protocols, including social distancing measures.

Required profile

• Ability to deliver fast and accurate banking transactions.
• Attention to detail for cash handling, document scanning and filing.
• Knowledge of KYC and regulatory compliance procedures.
• Capability to work within internal policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
