APAC Tax Manager

About the role

Join Emma’s Global Tax team as the APAC Tax Manager, overseeing tax compliance, reporting, and strategy for all legal entities across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will ensure accurate filings, support audits, and drive process improvements in a fast‑growing D2C sleep brand.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and execute compliance for corporate income tax (CIT), withholding tax (WHT), VAT and other local taxes, ensuring timely monthly and annual filings.
• Prepare tax reporting for month‑end and year‑end closings, covering current and deferred taxes, VAT and withholding taxes.
• Track country‑specific tax developments and align the organization with global policies and local regulations.
• Support the development and documentation of transfer pricing policies and related reporting.
• Manage inquiries from tax authorities, coordinate local tax audits, and maintain strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with tax and accounting teams to identify risk mitigation and optimization opportunities.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives and IT‑enabled projects to enhance tax operations efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an accountant or tax specialist.
• University degree focused on tax law or international taxation.
• Experience with common accounting software, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Proactive mindset, comfortable questioning the status‑quo and thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
• Independent, detail‑oriented, and structured approach to work.
