Backend Web Developer (Kotlin/Java)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Web Developer to maintain and enhance our existing Kotlin‑based application. The role focuses on troubleshooting production issues, implementing new features, and ensuring high code quality through testing and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support the current system built with Kotlin, understanding its architecture and flow.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to diagnose and resolve production defects.
• Perform library upgrades and apply security fixes for identified vulnerabilities.
• Design and develop new backend features based on functional requirements.
• Write thorough unit tests to guarantee code stability and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Java.
• At least 2 years of experience developing backend services in Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Batch frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
