Apigee Developer – API Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Apigee Developer to design, develop, and manage API solutions on Google Cloud's Apigee platform. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable API integrations that support our business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design, development, and maintenance services for Apigee Edge and OPDK platforms.
• Develop patches, bug fixes, and new features for runtime environments.
• Tri­age, prioritize, and resolve bugs, customer issues, and feature requests.
• Maintain and upgrade data components such as Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, and PostgreSQL.
• Deliver L2 engineering support and troubleshoot issues together with Google Global Support.
• Manage cloud product releases, component upgrades, and deployment pipelines.
• Support monetization services and perform knowledge‑transfer for auxiliary components like Edge Microgateway.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with Apigee Edge and API gateway management.
• Eligibility to work in the Philippines and no active recent application with Accenture.

Required skills

• Apigee Edge, API Gateway management, and RESTful API design.
• Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of API security protocols and access‑control mechanisms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven) and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices architecture, and service mesh.
