Accountant

About the role

Join a growing outsourced accounting and financial services team that supports clients across multiple industries. You will ensure client books are accurate, resolve accounting discrepancies, and contribute to month‑end and year‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank, trust, mortgage, escrow, tenant, owner and security‑deposit balances.
• Analyze general‑ledger activity and post adjusting entries.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end accounting procedures.
• Maintain bookkeeping records across multiple platforms.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Research accounting issues, identify root causes and resolve discrepancies.
• Review billing, payment and transaction details for accuracy.
• Navigate QBO, Bill.com, Keeper, Teamwork and other internal systems.
• Communicate via WhatsApp Desktop and Microsoft Teams for updates and clarifications.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of accrual accounting beyond basic AP/AR.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA not required).
• Proven ability to reconcile a variety of balance‑sheet accounts.
• Independent problem‑solver with experience preparing month‑end and year‑end closes.
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Clear written communication and ability to ask clarifying questions.
• Self‑managed, accountable and able to track time accurately.
• Experience working U.S. business hours or with U.S. teams is a plus.
