Accountant – Australian Events Industry (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to support our Australian events business from a remote location. You will manage the full spectrum of accounts payable and receivable, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile accounts payable, receivable and multi‑currency transactions using Xero.
• Maintain ledgers, invoices and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and Stripe payments.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on payments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Assist with audits, compliance tasks and financial reporting.
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of accounting or finance experience in Australia.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero (required).
• Experience with Stripe and multi‑currency accounts (preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills.
