Reconciliations Accountant – Australian Lending

About the role

We are looking for a Reconciliations Accountant with CA or CPA credentials and hands‑on experience in loan reconciliations and collections. You will be responsible for ensuring the financial accuracy of loan disbursements, repayments, and third‑party data, working with large datasets and loan amortisation schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile daily loan disbursements and repayments against bank statements and internal ledgers.
• Match income and expense data between the lending system and third‑party broker dashboards (e.g., Orgmeter).
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in amortisation schedules, payment allocations and collections data.
• Prepare daily/weekly reconciliation reports for management.
• Monitor overdue loan accounts and reconcile collections received against outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with the client‑success team to ensure correct application of borrower payments.
• Manage large datasets (10,000+ rows) using Excel and Google Sheets, maintaining data integrity in HubSpot CRM and internal databases.
• Identify automation opportunities in reconciliation workflows.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification (or final‑year candidate).
• Experience with loan collections, amortisation and reconciliation of arrears.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a passion for spotting discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data validation, IF statements).
• HubSpot CRM proficiency.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Zapier or Make.
• Experience with loan‑management platforms (e.g., Orgmeter).
