Wintel Lead - Infrastructure with Build and Automation

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Wintel Lead to oversee our Windows Server infrastructure, drive automation of workstation builds, and support hybrid cloud environments. The role combines hands‑on server administration with strategic oversight of backup, monitoring, and security processes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) services including AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Perform patching, updates, health checks, and troubleshoot server performance.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Assist with Azure and AWS resource management, monitoring, provisioning, and disaster‑recovery configurations.
• Manage backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault/Veritas NetBackup), monitor jobs, conduct restore tests, and maintain retention policies.
• Utilize monitoring tools (SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios) to track system health, respond to incidents, and keep asset inventories up to date.
• Apply security patches, follow hardening guidelines, and support audit/compliance activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of infrastructure experience with at least 5 years in workstation build and automation.
• Self‑motivated, strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Accountable, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively across IT and business units.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

• VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Azure AD, Azure Backup) and AWS (EC2, S3, IAM).
• Veeam Backup & Replication, Commvault or Veritas NetBackup.
• SAN/NAS storage (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE) with iSCSI, NFS, SMB protocols.
• Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios; ITSM tools: ServiceNow, BMC Remedy.
• Patch management, antivirus/endpoint protection, vulnerability assessment tools.
