Virtual Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Virtual Assistant to support our accounting practice in handling Australian tax processes and client management. The role involves coordinating with new and existing clients, preparing proposals, and ensuring timely compliance for a range of financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client requirements for accounts and tax, create proposals and reports.
• Draft requirements, lodge activity statements and tax returns following Australian procedures.
• Track annual renewals, new company formations, and manage debtor invoicing and follow‑ups.
• Chase end‑clients for missing data, signatures, and queries prior to filing.
• Develop and refine practice tools, procedures, and processes.
• Manage workflow and CRM for practice clients.
• Monitor compliance due dates via the practice’s tax portal.

Required profile

• Master’s in commerce or MBA in Finance & Accounting; CA, CMA, or Inter‑level qualification accepted.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with a professional phone manner.
• Hunter mentality with strong initiative and ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities with quick decision‑making.
• Basic accounting knowledge and experience working closely with an accounting practice.

Required skills

• Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
