General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will provide timely, high‑quality financial services to internal Dover customers in Cebu. You will ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of general ledger transactions while supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process journal entries, allocations, and period‑end adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet account reconciliations and sub‑ledger variance analysis.
• Post and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Execute fixed‑asset accounting: additions, capitalizations, retirements, disposals, depreciation, and revaluations.
• Support cash‑management activities and related reconciliations.
• Provide audit support for internal and external audits.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives for GL processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Management Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS, fixed‑asset, cash‑management, and intercompany accounting.
• Proficiency in major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
• Strong Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, charts; macros a plus).
• Six‑Sigma training is a plus.
