Video Editor

About the role

Plan Left is looking for a Video Editor to transform long‑form webinars, podcasts and interviews into short, platform‑optimized clips that attract a B2B audience. You will work closely with the marketing team, handling the edit from raw recording to final video for LinkedIn, YouTube and other channels.

Key responsibilities

• Review long‑form content (30–90 minutes) and extract 15–90 second highlight clips, producing 15–25 short videos per week.
• Write or refine hooks, on‑screen text, captions and titles that resonate with business buyers.
• Format each clip for its target platform (LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, paid ads) and add motion graphics, subtitles, b‑roll, branded intros and lower thirds.
• Partner with marketing to align clips with campaigns, product launches and demand‑generation goals.
• Track performance metrics (views, watch time, engagement, clicks) and use insights to improve future edits.

Required profile

• Fluent English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• 2+ years of video editing experience for a marketing team or agency, focusing on hooks, audience retention and calls‑to‑action.
• Proven track record of repurposing webinars, podcasts or interviews into short‑form clips, with a portfolio showing source material and final edits.
• Experience creating B2B marketing content for SaaS, professional services or tech brands.

Required skills

• Strong storytelling ability to identify compelling moments and craft a clear beginning, tension and payoff.
• Proficiency in adding motion graphics, kinetic typography, emojis, icon callouts, split screens and simple animations.
• Sound design skills, including selecting music and sound effects that match the desired mood.
• Ability to develop and evolve visual templates, caption styles, color treatments and series formats.
