US HR Specialist – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a US‑based HR Specialist to join our fully remote People Operations team. You will manage day‑to‑day HR processes, ensure data accuracy, and support employees throughout their lifecycle, from onboarding to off‑boarding.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute HR documents such as offer letters, employment verifications, and policy acknowledgements for employees and contractors.
• Support status changes including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and terminations.
• Respond to employee inquiries about policies, benefits, and HR programs, and assist with engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate interview scheduling, manage job postings, and maintain a positive candidate experience.
• Assist with compliance audits, reporting, and updating internal HR policies.
• Provide accurate employee data for payroll processing and maintain records in the HRIS.
• Facilitate high‑touch onboarding sessions and serve as a point of contact during the first 90 days.
• Manage off‑boarding activities, including exit interviews and final documentation.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years of US HR specialist experience, preferably in a startup environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with an empathetic approach.
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and work solution‑oriented.
• Passion for mental‑health initiatives and alignment with values of compassion, integrity, and high emotional intelligence.
