US Accountant / Bookkeeper (Remote, EST Hours)

About the role

We are a growing U.S.-based fractional CFO firm that supports service businesses such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical companies. We are seeking an experienced US Accountant/Bookkeeper who enjoys problem‑solving, handling multiple client accounts, and taking ownership of the full accounting cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close processes for multiple clients
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and clean financial statements for CFO review
• Support CFO‑level engagements and client communications
• Manage simultaneous client workloads while maintaining high accuracy

Required profile

• Experience in a CPA, accounting, bookkeeping, or fractional CFO firm
• Proven ability to support several clients at once
• Strong command of accrual accounting and month‑end close procedures
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Reliable high‑speed internet and a professional video‑meeting setup

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online
• ServiceTitan (preferred but not mandatory)
