Travel Specialist GDS

About the role

Metacom Careers is seeking a full‑time Travel Specialist GDS to join its on‑site team in Central Luzon, Philippines. The role focuses on delivering end‑to‑end travel solutions for both business and leisure clients, ensuring smooth and accurate travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Book flights, hotels, ground transportation and other travel services using Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Manage and modify itineraries, re‑book reservations, and verify fare rules, schedules and documentation.
• Respond to client inquiries via phone, email or chat, providing courteous and clear support.
• Resolve travel‑related issues promptly and maintain detailed records of all transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, follow company procedures and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Strong experience in travel arrangements and management, preferably with GDS tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Good knowledge of business travel policies, fare rules and preferred supplier usage.
• Attention to detail, effective time‑management and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in a travel agency, BPO travel account or related industry is preferred.
• Willingness to work onsite in Central Luzon with flexible shift schedules.
• High school diploma or equivalent; tourism or travel certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo.
• Basic office software skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
