Travel Automation Developer (VB.Net/C# & GDS)

About the role

Amex GBT is looking for a developer to build and support Compleat, an automation platform that streamlines processes for Travel Management Companies. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the Manila office, and involves working with minimal supervision to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Compleat functions and design API integrations to enhance travel workflows.
• Research and resolve support tickets, test and document functionality, and collaborate with other teams to address gaps.
• Use pre‑approved AI tools to improve code quality and accelerate development cycles.
• Monitor potential roadblocks and advise leadership on technical challenges.

Required profile

• 5+ years in the travel industry, preferably with a travel agency or corporate travel management company.
• 3+ years developing on Compleat or a similar travel‑agency automation platform.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with GDS systems, especially Sabre.
• Strong prioritisation, time‑management and problem‑solving skills, with excellent English communication.
• Flexibility to work part of the shift overlapping US Central business hours.

Required skills

• VB.Net and C# programming.
• Sabre GDS and other GDS platforms (TravelPort, Amadeus).
• API design and integration.
• AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude).
• Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio.
• Issue‑tracking tools such as Jira or FreshService.
