Test Equipment Engineer

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer to support machine installation, ramp‑up and ongoing optimisation within its manufacturing sites. The role focuses on ensuring test equipment reliability, improving overall equipment effectiveness and contributing to a stable production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install new test machines and manage ramp‑up activities.
• Create and maintain equipment documentation such as FMEA, preventive‑maintenance work instructions and machine work instructions.
• Analyse OEE data, perform MTBI (Mean Time Before Assist) analysis and drive improvement initiatives.
• Monitor spare‑part inventories, enrol and maintain spare‑part records.
• Gather and monitor data from Jam and MUBA handlers and oversee site parallelism.
• Support continuous improvement of equipment stability and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience in test equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different manufacturing areas.
• Strong presentation skills and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI.
• Basic machine programming.
• Knowledge of SPEA test machines.
