Technician I – Hardware

About the role

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Technician I – Hardware to provide equipment support on the manufacturing floor. The role involves verifying, repairing, or replacing defective parts and boards while ensuring high quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform verification, repair, and replacement of defective hardware components used in production.
• Maintain outstanding work quality, clean work areas, and a safe workplace.
• Support business‑unit objectives by delivering tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Document work performed and communicate status to relevant teams.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate of a technology‑related course.
• Strong technical aptitude with basic electronics knowledge.
• Ability to solder and de‑solder components.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible to work overtime and adapt to multiple tasks.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
