Technical Project Manager – Power BI

About the role

Deltek is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of Power BI initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, the BI leadership team, and cross‑functional groups to ensure dashboards, reports, and enhancements are delivered on time and within scope.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the full delivery lifecycle for Power BI projects, including new dashboards, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Maintain and prioritize the BI project backlog in partnership with stakeholders and BI leadership.
• Develop and maintain project plans, sprint schedules, and status reports for the active BI portfolio.
• Facilitate requirements‑gathering sessions to translate business needs into clear specifications for the development team.
• Run regular stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to keep delivery on track and surface risks early.
• Track, escalate, and resolve blockers, dependencies, and risks proactively.
• Coordinate cross‑functional dependencies with GTM Operations, Data Engineering, and business teams to ensure data readiness.
• Monitor delivery metrics such as on‑time delivery rate, backlog velocity, and cycle time to drive continuous improvement.
• Document project artifacts, including requirements, timelines, status updates, and post‑delivery summaries.
• Support adoption of consistent project‑management practices across the BI team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in technical project management, delivery management, or a related role supporting software solutions.
