Technical Lead – Rail & Metro

About the role

The Technical Lead will drive the delivery of rail and metro projects across the Philippines, providing expert advice and overseeing complex technical tasks with a high degree of independence. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety‑in‑design, risk management and client satisfaction on projects of varying size and complexity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor technical staff, building capability across the project portfolio.
• Prepare and review complex technical reports, proposals and client presentations.
• Monitor scope, risk and schedule for multiple projects, applying business systems and Australian standards where relevant.
• Deliver cost‑saving solutions while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Manage client relationships, expectations and stakeholder engagement to achieve superior outcomes.
• Oversee project budgeting, commercial acumen and compliance with WHS and CRM processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in rail, metro or related infrastructure.
• Strong reputation within the industry and active involvement in professional associations.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex technical tasks and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client‑service skills.
• Understanding of Australian standards, SMEC business systems and project management methodologies.
